Where in the world
Vermicomposting can be set up almost anywhere in the
world! In climates where the weather does not stay below 45 degrees F,
worm bins may be set up indoors or outdoors, all year round. If the
climate does turn that cold for part of the year, the bins simply have to be
kept inside during that period (the bins may also be kept outside in a dormant
state during this time).
Water is also a concern in some areas. In humid
tropical regions, there should not be any water maintenance need except for the
occasional addition of water. Where the climate is drier, it is important
to provide shade and waterings to prevent the bin from drying out.
